New Photos Allegedly Show Border Patrol Agents Releasing Illegal Aliens into Texas Towns

by Eric Lendrum

On Wednesday, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives shared photos that apparently depict the Border Patrol releasing hordes of illegal aliens into several towns in southern Texas.

The Daily Caller reports that Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) shared the photos on Twitter, showing Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents releasing illegals into the towns of Uvalde and Carrizo Springs. Gonzales said that the illegals were released because all of the detention facilities “in the area” run by the Border Patrol are “over capacity.”

“This morning, with facilities in the area over capacity, Border Patrol was forced to release a group of migrants into the city of Uvalde,” said Rep. Gonzales. “The neighboring town of Carrizo Springs has had to do the same. This is the consequence of a broken immigration system and failed policies.”

Gonzales’ office had previously been notified by Border Patrol officials that they would be releasing the illegals due to overcrowding in their facilities. City officials in Carrizo Springs reported on Tuesday that the federal government had ordered Border Patrol agents to release the illegals into their town since the closest facility, located in the Eagle Pass area, had “no vacancy.”

These reports seem to confirm that the crisis on the southern border has not subsided despite lasting for well over a year. CBP’s latest data reveals that the Del Rio Sector of the border saw nearly 54,000 single adult encounters in the fiscal year 2021, an increase of 338 percent from the previous fiscal year.
