After months of repeated attacks against Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, over alleged financial wrongdoings, the court’s longest-serving justice finally disclosed his finances this week, debunking many of the claims against him.

As Breitbart reports, the official guidance for financial disclosures from federal judges was changed back in March, with Thomas’ revelations this week following those new guidelines. The senior justice disclosed additional details concerning hospitality and gifts he had received in previous years.

Nikki Haley Had a Dozen Lucrative Speaking Engagements Since Last Year, Financial Disclosure Shows

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley received between $100,001 and $1 million for each of her dozen speaking engagements in 2022 and 2023, which means she made at least $1.2 million from speaking honorariums, her financial disclosure report shows. 

Haley, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina governor, received payments for her speeches in Singapore, Australia and Canada, as well as for talks she gave across the U.S. in cities such as Chicago, New York and Dallas, according to her disclosure filed Monday. The speeches were for a variety of organizations such as the National Automobile Dealers Association and the Canadian Friends of Jerusalem College of Technology.

Florida Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Nikki Fried Files Financial Disclosure Form

Florida Agriculture Commissioner and 2022 Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Nikki Fried, has filed her financial disclosure forms, showing updates to her 2019 financial forms and new changes.

Fried was hours away from racking up fines for potentially not filing by the September 1 deadline, which was the end of the extended grace period. Form 6, which Fried completed, was originally due on July 1.

Governor DeSantis Trails Florida Cabinet Members in Net Worth

Recently filed financial disclosure forms filed by state-wide elected leaders show that the net worth of Florida Governor Ron Desantis is significantly less than Florida’s three cabinet members.

The financial disclosure forms, known as Form 6, are required to be filed annually by state elected officials and some state employees. The forms were due to the Florida Commission on Ethics by July 1, 2021.

Desantis reported a 2020 net worth of $348,832 on his Form 6 filed on June 20, 2021. This is up 16.5% from the $291,449 reported for 2019.

Nikki Fried Denies Cannabis Conflict of Interest

After a scathing report from The Orlando Sentinel tying Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Nikki Fried to the cannabis industry, the gubernatorial candidate has denied that there is any conflict of interest. 

“One of the sources of her income increase is from Ignite Florida, a consulting firm where she is sole proprietor and lobbies the marijuana industry. Specifically, she amended a 2018 financial statement on May 28 indicating she received $351,480 from the firm. Previously, she had to amend the same 2018 statements on January 30, 2020 saying she received $72,000 in 2018 income,” The Florida Capital Star reported.
