Uvalde Victims’ Families Slap Meta with Lawsuit: Report

Family members of the victims of a mass shooting in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, filed a lawsuit against Meta, the owner of Instagram, Friday, according to multiple reports.

Two teachers and 19 children died in the May 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde before Border Patrol agents stormed the classroom and fatally shot the perpetrator. The lawsuit also targets Activision, the maker of the Call of Duty video game franchise, and Daniel Defense, which made the rifle used in the shooting, CBS News reported.

Uvalde School District Suspends Entire Police Force amid Ongoing Fallout over May School Shooting

The Uvalde, Texas school district suspended its entire police force on Friday, a measure apparently stemming from the continued fallout surrounding the brutal May massacre at one of the district’s elementary schools. 

That mass shooting, in which a gunman killed 19 young students and two staff members, has led to intense criticism of the Uvalde School District Police Department, which was among the police forces that failed to enter the classroom in which the shooter had barricaded himself while he carried out his massacre.

The May 24 massacre in Uvalde, Texas outrages the conscience, though not for the facile and stupid reasons spewed by every prominent Democratic Party politician, half-witted newspaper columnist, and vapid television talking-head. 

Liberals and other simpering dunderheads make fetishes of objects, focusing on the tool rather than the tool’s misuser. “Nobody needs an AR-15,” goes the refrain, when need has nothing and right has everything to do with it. “But the tool is so easy to misuse and abuse!” comes the ovine rebuttal, when we know as a matter of fact the tool is used in a small fraction of violent crimes.
