Two former Uvalde school police officers on Thursday for the slow law enforcement response to the 2022 massacre at Robb Elementary school that left 19 children and two teachers dead, two Texas state government sources with knowledge of the indictment told CNN Thursday.
Former Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Police Chief Pete Arredondo and former school police officer Adrian Gonzales were both indicted on criminal charges for abandoning and endangering a child.
Arredondo reportedly turned himself in to Texas Rangers in Uvalde on Thursday, according to news reports.
